Killing Obama for Israel is Option 3 says Atlanta Jewish Times publisher

Assassinating President Obama is an option "on the table" according to Atlanta Jewish Times owner & publisher Andrew Adler. It's "option 3" which he says we should think about:

Three, give the go-ahead for U.S.-based Mossad agents to take out a president deemed unfriendly to Israel in order for the current vice president to take his place, and forcefully dictate that the United States' policy includes its helping the Jewish state obliterate its enemies.
Yes, you read "three" correctly. Order a hit on a president in order to preserve Israel's existence. Think about it. If I have thought of this Tom Clancy-type scenario, don't you think that this almost unfathomable idea has been discussed in Israel's most inner circles?
Another way of putting "three" in perspective goes something like this: How far would you go to save a nation comprised of seven million lives ... Jews, Christians and Arabs alike?

You have got to believe, like I do, that all options are on the table.

Notice the lack of outrage when "options on the table" include war crimes like bombing another country. Did you notice that the pundits don't express outrage about the other "options" which are not limited to the murder of a single public official but could potentially kill millions?
Abraham H. Foxman, director of the Anti-Defamation League, said there is “no excuse” for that kind of rhetoric. “It doesn’t even belong in fiction. These are irresponsible and extremist words. It is outrageous and beyond the pale. An apology cannot possibly repair the damage,” he said in a statement. “Mr. Adler’s lack of judgment as a publisher, editor and columnist raises serious questions as to whether he’s fit to run a newspaper.”
What about acting like the other 2 things are "options?" Isn't arguing for committing war crimes also irresponsible, extremist words which are outrageous and beyond the pale? The other attacks which Adler claims are options are in fact crimes too.

The truth of the matter

The well respected author Noam Chomsky has written about Israel's intentional attack on the USS Liberty:
“The truth of the matter is that Israel has been granted a unique immunity from criticism in mainstream journalism and scholarship … the attack on the unmistakably identified U.S. Liberty with rockets, aircraft cannon, napalm, torpedoes and machine guns, clearly premeditated, leaving 34 crewmen dead and 75 wounded in “the Navy’s bloodiest ‘peacetime’ international incident of the 20th century" … the general reaction of the press and scholarship has been silence or misrepresentation. … The nature of the attack on the Liberty was also evaded not only by the press fairly generally but by the government and by a U.S. Naval Board of Inquiry, though high-ranking figures had no doubt that the official report was a whitewash; former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Thomas H. Moorer, for example, states that the attack “could not possibly have been a case of mistaken identity,” as officially claimed.” pp31-32 The Fateful Triangle: The United States, Israel and the Palestinians

Openly calling for his country to violate international law

"And let's be crystal clear about what Kroenig is advocating here. He is openly calling for preventive war against Iran, even though the United States has no authorization from the U.N. Security Council, it is not clear that Iran is actively developing nuclear weapons, and Iran has not attacked us or any of our allies -- ever. He is therefore openly calling for his country to violate international law.He is calmly advocating a course of action that will inevitably kill a significant number of people, including civilians, some of whom probably despise the clerical regime (and with good reason). And Kroenig is willing to have their deaths on his conscience on the basis of a series of unsupported assertions, almost all of them subject to serious doubt."
