Operation Plan 5029

"Last year, the first year of Kim Jong Un’s leadership, a South Korean official was asked about the O Plan 5029 and why he was exercising this regime collapse scenario.  He said the death of Kim Jong Il makes the situation ripe to exercise precisely this kind of war plan.

It’s almost impossible for us in the United States to imagine Mexico and the historic foe of the U.S., Russia, conducting joint exercises that simulate an invasion of the United States and a foreign occupation of the United States.  That is precisely what North Korea has been enduring for several decades.” Behind the North Korean Crisis

North Korea is Reacting to US Aggression

It is a propaganda coup that U.S. media has been able to portray North Korea as the "crazy saber rattler" when the fact is the United States had preplanned the massive military buildup and provocations going back to Nov. 2011. Obama's so called "Asian Pivot" is a plan to move a massive amour of military hardware over to the Pacific region. The U.S. has been conducting simulations of a first strike aimed at overthrowing the North Korean regime, Operation Plan 5029, "Last year, the first year of Kim Jong Un's leadership, a South Korean official was asked about the O Plan 5029 and why he was exercising this regime collapse scenario. He said the death of Kim Jong Il makes the situation ripe to exercise precisely this kind of war plan."

"The basic theory is this: to provoke North Korea so much that it issues a self-defence warning, and use a part of that warning, via various media outlets to garner the public consensus for a justification of not only increased military spending on an already recession-hit budget, but to transport and set up an increasing stockpile of military hardware and personnel around East and Southeast Asia." - http://thesecretmap.wordpress.com/2013/04/08/north-korea-usa-and-the-war-on-your-minds/

"North Korea is being depicted as an irrational provocateur and aggressor in the escalation of threats and military maneuvers over the Korean Peninsula, and of course the regime's rhetoric is being used as proof of the intention to wage war. However the events occurring now can also be seen as a continuation of the Obama Administration's "Asian Pivot" strategy," http://www.tnp.no/norway/global/3653-north-korea-obama-and-his-asian-pivot

North Korea? Hey Hank, Sell Crazy Someplace Else, We're Fed Up With War Propaganda
ALSO SEE:GRAND DECEPTION BY US REVEALED "The people of the world have NOT BEEN TOLD the complete story about Korea and our government's role in fostering imbalance and conflict. Action must be taken by lawyers, community groups, peace activists and all citizens of the planet, to prevent the U.S. government from successfully generating a propaganda campaign to support aggression in North Korea. The American people have been subjected to a grand deception. There is too much at stake to get fooled again."

"The DPRK [North Korea] has explained that in response to hostile actions by the US and the use of the Security Council to support hostile action by the US, the DPRK needs to develop its nuclear defense capability" ★ Read Ronda Hauben's articles on North Korea:

North Korea "has complained about the hostile acts of the US toward it. Instead of the Security Council inviting North Korea to explain its complaint, the Security Council has allowed the US to compile a set of punishments of North Korea  in the form of a proposed new security council resolution ...
To vote on such a resolution with no consideration of North Korea view of the problem that exists is a serious abuse of the obligations of the Security Council under the UN Charter. An example of the illegitimacy and duplicity of action taken by the US against North Korea  is described in the article, “Behind the Blacklisting of Banco Delta Asia: Is the policy aimed at targeting China as well as North Korea?
North Korea  has made a convincing case that there is a long pattern of abuse by the US against its country and people and that it needs a means to defend itself."

"To put it more succinctly, the blog China Matters quotes David Ascher, who had been the coordinator for the Bush Administration working group on North Korea and a senior adviser in East Asian affairs in the State Department, in testimony to the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Terrorism, Nonproliferation, and Trade on April 18, 2007, explaining why Banco Delta was chosen to be blacklisted from the international banking system (9):

"Banco Delta was a symbolic target. We were trying to kill the chicken to scare the monkeys. And the monkeys were big Chinese banks doing business in North Korea...and we're not talking about tens of millions, we're talking hundreds of millions."

The purpose of the action against  the BDA (Banco Delta Asia) appears not only to have been to target North Korea and its access to the international banking system, but also to send a message to China.

Therefore it would appear that the action against BDA (Banco Delta Asia) is a carefully crafted political action and that it will be necessary that there be public understanding, discussion and debate about what is behind this action in order to find a way to have the policy that gave rise to the BDA (Banco Delta Asia) action changed.

Instead of the U.S. mainstream press carrying out the needed investigation about why BDA has been targeted and what is behind this action, there have been continual condemnations of North Korea." -

American Hostility

American Hostility: US Financial Sanctions against North Korea and the Nuclear Issue

"The DPRK [North Korea] has explained that in response to hostile actions by the US and the use of the Security Council to support hostile action by the US, the DPRK needs to develop its nuclear defense capability. On February 12, 2013, the DPRK conducted its third nuclear test. The Security Council then issued Resolution 2094( S/Res/2094(2013)) on March 7 imposing additional sanctions on the DPRK, including a set of financial sanctions which are intended to reimpose substantial financial hardship on the DPRK. These financial sanctions are part of the focus of Resolution 2094.

These sanctions, journalists were told, were negotiated by the US and China and then accepted by the other 13 members of the Security Council. This is a process similar to that which was used in creating Resolution 2087 punishing the DPRK for launching a satellite.

There is prior experience with what the US puts forward as its use of financial sanctions against the DPRK, which has been called coercive diplomacy. It is significant to recognize that the imposition of such US financial sanctions against the DPRK preceded the first nuclear test undertaken by the DPRK. In September 2005, the US government used a little known provision of the US Patriot Act, Section 311 to blacklist a bank, the Banco Delta Asia, because the DPRK had $25 million of its funds in the bank. This resulted in the funds of this bank being frozen and the DPRK losing access to the funds in its account for two years. These financial sanctions were imposed in a such a manner that they represented a threat that any bank doing business with the DPRK would be vulnerable to similar sanctions, effectively denying the DPRK access to the international banking system. (6) Prior to the imposition of these financial sanctions against the DPRK by the US, the DPRK had not tested any nuclear device. And it was only after the DPRK carried out a nuclear test that the US State Department became willing to negotiate about ending these financial sanctions. So the US blacklisting of the Banco Delta Asia, an action taken by the US Treasury Department against the DPRK, was the Godfather of the DPRK’s determination to develop its nuclear capability."
US Financial Sanctions Against the DPRK As the Godfather of Nuclear Tests on Korean Peninsula by Ronda Hauben
http://blogs.taz.de/netizenblog/2013/04/03/us-sanctions-against-dprk-as-godfather-nuclear-tests/

"... there are a number of examples of the Security Council acting in a way that intensifies or causes a conflict to become more serious. This is in direct contrast to the obligation of the Security Council according to the UN Charter. Such a failure on the part of the Security Council is particularly demonstrated by the treatment accorded the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) by the Security Council, with the exception of the two examples described in the article, “Two Precedents for UN Security Council Action to Calm Tension in the Korean Peninsula.”
The DPRK has complained about the hostile acts of the US toward it.(2) Instead of the Security Council inviting the DPRK to explain its complaint, the Security Council has allowed the US to compile a set of punishments of the DPRK in the form of a proposed new security council resolution tabled on March 5. The resolution is to be voted on on Thursday, March 7.
To vote on such a resolution with no consideration of the DPRK view of the problem that exists is a serious abuse of the obligations of the Security Council under the UN Charter. An example of the illegitimacy and duplicity of action taken by the US against the DPRK is described in the article, “Behind the Blacklisting of Banco Delta Asia: Is the policy aimed at targeting China as well as North Korea?”

US Proposed UN Security Council Resolution Against DPRK Can Only Increase Tension on the Korean Peninsula

by Ronda Hauben

ALSO SEE: "Thanks to the consistent and magnanimous efforts exerted by the DPRK government, the DPRK-US joint statement was adopted between the two countries on June 11, 1993 and the DPRK-US Agreed Framework [AF] was adopted on October 21, 1994, under which both sides committed themselves to fundamentally settle the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula.

Even when the US moves to scrap the AF and reduce the north-south joint declaration on denuclearization to a dead document reached its zenith after the Bush administration took office the DPRK proposed DPRK-US direct talks several times and strongly called for settling the nuclear issue by concluding a non-aggression treaty in the hope of preventing the process of denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula from being derailed.

As part of its principled and patient efforts the DPRK government advanced a new bold proposal for settling the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula at the DPRK-US talks held in Beijing in April last.

Ever since the publication of the north-south joint declaration on the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula the US adopted it as its policy to systematically and completely ditch it and has stood in the way of its realization in every way.

In July 1992, nearly 7 months after the publication of the joint declaration, the US instigated the International Atomic Energy Agency to kick up a racket of "special inspection", thus sparking a nuclear crisis on the Korean Peninsula.

Instead of withdrawing all types of nuclear weapons already stockpiled and deployed in South Korea, the US introduced many depleted uranium bombs, whose use is banned internationally, and deployed them for an actual war in February 1997.

After the emergence of the Bush administration the US hostile policy toward the DPRK reached its zenith and the process of denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula has been derailed in actuality.

On June 6, 2001 Bush made public a "statement on North Korea policy" the keynote of which was North Korea's redoubled efforts to implement the Geneva Agreement on nuclear activities including those in the past, specified verification of missile development and cut down of conventional weapons.

On January 30, 2002, Bush in the "state of the union address" singled out the DPRK as part of an "axis of evil", a clear proof of his administration's extremely hostile policy toward the DPRK.

"Threat of North Korea's nukes and missile" claimed by the Bush administration from the outset of its office was a product of its policy to foster confrontation and war against the DPRK in a bid to torpedo the process of denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula and suffocate the DPRK. The "report on nuclear posture" the US Defense Department worked out and submitted to Congress noted that the US forces can use nuclear weapons in case of "contingency" on the Korean Peninsula and the US should develop smaller nuclear weapons to be used for destroying underground facilities in the above-said case and to this end it should recoil from honoring the nuclear test ban treaty.(South Korean KBS, March 15, 2002).

The Bush administration has systematically and completely torpedoed the process of denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula. It finally adopted it as its policy to mount preemptive nuclear attacks on 7 countries including the DPRK in March 2002.

This was a wanton violation of the basic spirit of the NPT which calls on the nuclear weapons states to refrain from threatening other countries with nukes or using them against other countries and creating emergency cases endangering the fundamental interests of non-nuclear states and exert all efforts to avert a nuclear war.

The process of denuclearization on the Korean Peninsula has thus been completely derailed because the US, the world's biggest possessor of nukes, scrapped the DPRK-US joint statement and the AF and adopted it as its policy to mount a preemptive nuclear attack on the DPRK, a non-nuclear state, in breach of the spirit of the NPT.

The DPRK confirmed this when the special envoy of the US President visited Pyongyang early in October last. It keenly felt that the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula would only remain as a day dream unless the US drops its hostile policy toward the DPRK.

The inter-Korean declaration on denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula was thus reduced to a dead document due to the US vicious hostile policy to stifle the DPRK with nukes.

The US incessantly staged north-targeted nuclear war exercises after turning South Korea into the biggest nuclear advance base in the Far East and a strategic nuclear weapons arsenal, thus wantonly violating the basic spirit of the joint declaration on denuclearization. The "9-Day War Scenario", "5-Day War Scenario", "Operation Plan 5027," "Operation Plan 5027-98," war plans worked out in the 1980s and 1990s, and the recently disclosed "Contingency Plan" all specified nuclear attacks on the DPRK.

The successive US rulers and hawkish groups have been engrossed in blackmailing the DPRK with nukes on the basis of nuclear war scenarios to invade the north." - The Inter-Korean Declaration On Denuclearization Of The Korean Peninsula Was...Reduced To A Dead Document': DPRK Report on Nuclear Crisis

Terribly Corrosive Force on our World

WARNING: Across U.S. mainstream media they act as if international law does not exist

Look how across U.S. mainstream media they act as if international law does not exist as far as restraining U.S. power. I really would like you to call the people who write for the NYT, like ISABEL KERSHNER and ask her why she writes articles with a world view that international law does not exist.

Major media are undermining our chance to have a civilized world, it is a terribly corrosive force to have media outlets write their articles from the viewpoint that there is no international law when it comes to U.S. or Israeli actions.

Look at "Israeli Official Hints Pentagon Plans May Make Lone Strike on Iran Unnecessary" Published: January 26, 2013 Notice how she puts the article together, She finds Herbert Krosney, an American-Israeli analyst to say "Mr. Barak’s statement now “indicates that there is close cooperation”" Yet she can't find an expert in international law to comment on Barak’s statement? She doesn't want readers to know that what they are discussing is a war crime?

Please contact people at the NYT and ask them why they continually do this.

9/11 was to punish U.S. for Israel policy

NEW VIDEO: 9/11 was to punish U.S. for Israel policy: Philip Zelikow 9/11 Commission Exec. Dir.

9/11 hearings

Text for upcoming video:

Although this testimony was heard in the 9/11 hearings, when it came time for the commissioners to fulfill their mandate, they intentionally rejected doing so because several references to Israel were omitted from the final 9/11 Report.

Incredibly, the two top 9/11 commissioners, Thomas Kean and Lee Hamilton, admit commissioners' concerns over whether the policy of supporting Israel would be reassessed by the American people influenced what they put in the 9/11 report and what they kept out.

The 9/11 commission betrayed the interests of the American people when they put the final 9/11 Report together because they downplayed the main motive (anger at U.S. support of Israel's crimes) and omitted several references to key testimony mentioning Israel.

Israel suspected of being behind AP's dangerous Iran hoax

The news now is that Israel is the one suspected of fabricating intel in order to create an excuse to go after Iran:

The top article linked above indicates that is was Israel which perpetrated the fraud in order to frame Iran. The hoax was "published by the Associated Press (AP), purported to be an Iranian diagram showing the physics of a nuclear blast, but scientists quickly pointed out an elementary mistake that cast doubt on its significance and authenticity. An article in the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists declared: "This diagram does nothing more than indicate either slipshod analysis or an amateurish hoax.""

"Western officials say they have reasons to suspect Israel of being behind the most recent leak and a series of previous disclosures from the IAEA investigation, pointing to Israel's impatience at what it sees as international complacency over Iranian nuclear activity."

Keep in mind that there is no evidence Iran has diverted any material from its civilian nuclear power program , a program U.S. media often misrepresent or blur the line with misleading reports which make it seem that a nuclear weapons program is being discussed.

There's something extremely wrong going

There's something extremely wrong going on in our country. Jeffrey Goldberg should not be given the platform he is given, especially since he abuses it to deviously protect the racist Zionist agenda and does so ruthlessly. He had the audacity to reply to a woman asking why the terrorists were so angry that they took lessons to fly planes to attack us on 9/11 with BS about anger at "whispering temptation to consume alcohol." The man very clearly has crossed the line and should be fired, he should no longer have a public platform.

Glenn Greenwald has another good article which is called The PSY scandal: singing about killing people v. constantly doing it "Americans would benefit from less outrage at anti-US sentiment and more energy toward understanding why it's so widespread"

Shortly after it happened, there were people in Brazil celebrating Al-Qaeda's attack on the twin towers.
Al-Qaeda of course being an organisation dedicated to conquering societies by violence.
It's pointless complaining that America is using military force in countries disingenuously referred to as Muslim: when the American force is being deployed against extremists whose ambition is to force millions of Muslims to live in a theocratic repression regime.
Anti-Americanism is real. And the problem with it is that it's also anti-intellectually honest. Regardless of the 'bad things' America has done historically.

Here are my replies:

ZeetheGree, you miss the whole point and the motives of Al-Qaeda. They get their support not for what they supposedly may want to establish in the future, they get their support for what they are against.
I totally understand your confusion because just yesterday CNN's Christiane Amanpour once again suppressed motives. In her recent report she reported on the underwear bomber, conspicuously absent was reporting motive: "attack the United States in retaliation for U.S. support of Israel and in retaliation of the killing of innocent and civilian Muslim populations in Palestine, especially in the blockade of Gaza, and in retaliation for the killing of innocent and civilian Muslim populations in Yemen, Iraq, Somalia, Afghanistan and beyond, most of them women, children, and noncombatants."
And the suppression of motive across mainstream media AND alternative media (for example Amy Goodman's Democracy Now also suppressed “underwear bomber” Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab's motive.) clearly has an impact on the opinions people hold about this life and death issue.

I meant to reply directly to you, hope you see my comment (I don't want to be accused of spamming so I won't report it here. I'll just respond to another part of your comment which is "Anti-Americanism is real"
And defining that is important. Would you call Nat Turner's 1831 slave rebellion an expression of "anti-Americanism." The point is, what is dishonest is the lie that people are attacking the U.S. just for being (as opposed to the actions of killing innocent people, for example the aiding and abetting of Israel's crimes.)
Again, as I said in my other comment, I really can see how you could be confused because there has been a massive underreporting of the motives. Look at the mastermind of the 1993 attack on the WTC, sent a letter to the NYT declaring, ‪"This action was done in response for the American political, economical, and military support to Israel the state of terrorism and to the rest of the dictator countries in the region.
OUR DEMANDS ARE:‬
‪1 - Stop all military, economical, and‬ ‪political aid to Israel.‬ ‪
2 - All diplomatic relations with Israel‬ ‪must stop.
‬ ‪3 - Not to interfere with any of the‬ ‪Middle East countries interior affairs." ‬
Yet after that‪,‬ ‪NYT Foreign affairs columnist‬ Thomas Friedman ‪denied that there are specific demands in his NYT opinion piece: "The super-empowered angry men have no specific ideological program or demands. Rather, they are driven by a generalized hatred of the U.S., Israel and other supposed enemies of Islam. Ramzi Yousef, mastermind of the World Trade Center bombing, was a super-empowered angry man. Osama bin Laden is another."‬(written after '93 attack but before 9/11)

Neoconservative deviousness put us at risk and paved the way for 9/11

We need to so something about this, the neoconservative leaders cannot be allowed to get away with what they did to us:

"the Aug. 6 document... is not nearly as shocking as the briefs that came before it. The direct warnings to Mr. Bush about the possibility of a Qaeda attack began in the spring of 2001. By May 1, the Central Intelligence Agency told the White House of a report that “a group presently in the United States” was planning a terrorist operation. Weeks later, on June 22, the daily brief reported that Qaeda strikes could be “imminent,” although intelligence suggested the time frame was flexible.

But some in the administration considered the warning to be just bluster. An intelligence official and a member of the Bush administration both told me in interviews that the neoconservative leaders who had recently assumed power at the Pentagon were warning the White House that the C.I.A. had been fooled; according to this theory,  Bin Laden was merely pretending to be planning an attack to distract the administration from Saddam Hussein, whom the neoconservatives saw as a greater threat. Intelligence officials, these sources said, protested that the idea of Bin Laden, an Islamic fundamentalist, conspiring with Mr. Hussein, an Iraqi secularist, was ridiculous, but the neoconservatives’ suspicions were nevertheless carrying the day.

In response, the C.I.A. prepared an analysis that all but pleaded with the White House to accept that the danger from Bin Laden was real. “The U.S. is not the target of a disinformation campaign by Usama Bin Laden,” the daily brief of June 29 read, using the government’s transliteration of Bin Laden’s first name. Going on for more than a page, the document recited much of the evidence, including an interview that month with a Middle Eastern journalist in which Bin Laden aides warned of a coming attack," OP-ED CONTRIBUTOR The Deafness Before the Storm By KURT EICHENWALD Published: September 10, 2012

You are not going to get these men to say, "Yeah, we sat back, ignored the warnings, so that when an attack happened we could use it as a pretext for our agenda to attack Iraq." BUT their excuses for why the President should ignore the warnings he was being given are so contrived and self-serving that it basically exposes what they were up to. This isn't over, people still have to pay for what they did to us. Remember that the Iraq War agenda is so devious that the very excuse President Bush gave for attacking Iraq is a flat out provable lie! (a lie that the media has deviously avoided pointing out) That lie specifically is the claim that Saddam didn't let the inspectors in.

Look for yourself) (STILL NOT MADE PUBLIC!) "That is, unless it was read in conjunction with the daily briefs preceding Aug. 6, the ones the Bush administration would not release. While those documents are still not public, I have read excerpts from many of them, along with other recently declassified records, and come to an inescapable conclusion: the administration’s reaction to what Mr. Bush was told in the weeks before that infamous briefing reflected significantly more negligence than has been disclosed." http://www.nytimes.com/2012/09/11/opinion/the-bush-white-house-was-deaf-to-9-11-warnings.html?_r=0

Israel Continues to Attack Palestinian Fishermen

Last night I just became aware of the extent that Israel shoots at Palestinian fishermen! I was reading this article: "Refusing to Acquiesce in Gaza by JOSHUA BROLLIER" at the Counterpunch website and learned "Since November 26th, 2012, 15 fishermen have been arrested and 6 boats destroyed. " the text in that article links to this article: "15 Fishermen Arrested and 6 Fishing Boats Confiscated and Destroyed The Continued Attacks against Palestinian Fishermen Prove False Israeli Claims of Permitting Fishermen to Fish up to 6 Nautical Miles"

More from Refusing to Acquiesce in Gaza by JOSHUA BROLLIER:
"To “carry on” in Gaza does not mean returning to predictable routines or a reasonable set of expectations of calmness in what amounts to everyday life in most parts of the world.  This is exceptionally true for Palestinian fishermen who return to the daily struggle with the Israeli Navy to fish in waters that are rightfully theirs.

There has been no ceasefire for these men who bravely attempt to exercise not only their legal rights, but perhaps more urgently, the human right to fulfil the most basic of needs, such as feeding their families and paying rent.  Since November 26th, 2012, 15 fishermen have been arrested and 6 boats destroyed."
I started looking and found things like this: Israelis kill Palestinian fisherman in Gaza: medics (AFP) – Sep 29, 2012  GAZA CITY, Palestinian Territories — The Israeli navy killed a Palestinian fisherman and wounded another in the northern Gaza Strip, Palestinian medical officials said on Saturday.

The Continued Attacks against Palestinian Fishermen Prove False Israeli Claims of Permitting Fishermen to Fish up to 6 Nautical Miles. The Palestinian Centre for Human Rights (PCHR) condemns Israel's violations against Palestinian fishermen in the Gaza Strip, which continue in spite of the Israeli authorities' announcement of allowing the fishermen to fish up to 6 nautical miles off the Gaza shore.

And Israel killing Palestinian fishermen has been a continuing crime: Israeli navy kills Gaza fisherman (Aljazeera, Sept. 24, 2010) The U.S. media didn't make me aware of this. I can see why they would what to suppress it.
