[It is so unusual for a reporter to ask a good tough question that Bolton questions what media outlet the reporter is from] Keep in mind that she asks this in front of other U.S. reporters but it doesn't make the news!
Bolton is lying, there is no doubt that the war was illegal:

Do you hate America that much? What America represents is a Govt of the people by the People. You hate Israel so much that you will make up stories and try to plant other phony stories by idiot reporters.

You mean a nobody who calls himself Bolton, was asked a REAL question by a courageous reporter.
It was a conscious decision for Bush's taskmasters to put Bolton in the UN. Bolton is famous for advocating the dissolution of the UN completely, so he can do so much more damage by being in the UN.
I guess the joke is on him though, since Israel secretly has a military alliance with Iran. Both Iran and Israel know that the real threat are the major Sunni powers in the region, nearly all have went to war with israel at some point (or supplied soldiers). Saudi Arabia is armed with CSS-2 east wind MRBM nuclear missiles, Pakistan is armed with Ghauri MRBM nuclear missiles, Syria, Jordan, Egypt just waiting to invade israel yet again one day in revenge for their past losses. Only Iran with its considerable military looks to be an ally with Israel. The USA is the worst ally possible, and has left israel hanging out to dry numerous times in favor of licking the sandals of its Saudi girlfriend.
Bolton is mostly bluster, but he's dangerous bluster, and the american jews in the USA are totally clueless about who their allies are in the region. Iran is one of the only muslim nations left with a jewish minority, and their connection to jews goes back thousands of years. The Iranians also see some practicality in the secret alliance, with a heavily armed and nuclear israel, it is a bulwark against invasion by sunnis who hope to eliminate whats left of persian identity and replace it with an arab one, not to mention "sanitize" iran of shiites, zoroastrians, jews, and whoever else they don't like which is just about everybody.
Let's not forget that Bolton was appointed to the UN by Bush,when congress was on vacation. Congress voted againist him but the presiduce can overturn the vote-when on holiday. When congress came back--not a peep from the Democrats.

Yes, IIRC, when Persia conquered the Babylonians, Cyrus released the Jews from their captivity and helped finance the reconstruction of the temple and walls of Jerusalem.
Detail available in Second Chronicles and Ezra. I wasn't aware that this had resulted in long term goodwill, but I guess it only makes sense. All evidence points to the Jewish people caring only about having their "promised land" to themselves, and any means necessary are acceptable.
Very interesting the commentary about the 'secret' relationship between Iran and Israel. I'd love to here more about this historical alliance. This is the kind of thing our news outlets ought to be commenting on with regularity.
