Chomsky

Our security is being put at even greater risk by the Bush Administration's continuing threats against Iran.
Bush and Cheney's Threats and Actions Risk Accidental War with Iran.

"They're certainly issuing threats very publicly and openly. Not only the words but even the actions. So, for example, the last couple of years, the United States has provided to Israel over a hundred advanced jet bombers openly advertised as capable of bombing Iran and returning. I don't think a word about that has been published in the United States but it's public information. You can read it in the Israeli press, you can read it in military journals. Certainly Iranian intelligence knows it.

Furthermore, deploying major naval forces in the Gulf, right off shore from Iran, is an obvious threat. I mean, if Iran was deploying major naval forces in the English Channel or the Caribbean, you can bet that the United States and London would be pretty upset about it. In fact, they'd go to war.

Capturing Iranian officials in northern Iraq, that's provocation. The United States is almost certainly - we, you know, can't prove it but the evidence is pretty strong - is supporting secessionist groups - terrorist groups in fact, in Iran. Recently, there was an attack from Baluchi based, Pakistani based terrorists, other groups are being supported. You know, all that is very provocative. That's all over and above the overt threat. The overt threats to Iran are a crime. They're a major violation of the United Nations Charter which outlaws the threat or use of force in international affairs. Threat of force is a violation of the Charter, it's a violation of law. In outlaw states, like the United States and Britain where law doesn't matter much, there's very little comment on that. But definitely the threats are there and all of this could lead to just an accidental war." - Noam Chomsky NOTE: This is an edited version of what Chomsky said excerpted from a video recorded 6/5/07. See this link for the aprox. 10 min. long video source: Noam Chomsky - Q&A @ Sussex University (2a)

Below are some examples of background info:

"Experts say the ultra-sophisticated development of the battle-tested F16 Fighting Falcon, to be named Sufa (Storm in Hebrew), sports a much-increased range of 1,500 kilometres (around 930 miles) without needing in-flight refuelling, allowing them to reach anywhere in the Middle East.

Media reports said this new capability could allow the Israeli Air Force (IAF) to hit suspected nuclear targets in Iran, as it did in Iraq in June 1981 when it bombed the Osirak reactor near Baghdad.

Built by US aerospace giant Lockheed Martin

The procurement of 102 of the two-seater jets at an estimated cost of 4.5 billion dollars is the biggest defense deal in Israel's history.

For its part, Lockheed Martin is committed to 2.6 billion dollars worth of reciprocal procurements, of which 1.1 billion has already been made.

Funding for the contract comes from US military aid to Israel which totals around two billion dollars per year.

Israel placed its first order for 50 aircraft in 1999, with a second order made in 2001. Delivery is slated for completion by 2009.

With the 102 new Sufa jets, and another 230 Fighting Falcons, Israel will command the second largest F-16 fleet in the world behind the United States." - Israel receives two new-generation F-16I fighter jets RAMON AIR BASE, Israel (AFP) Feb 19, 2004

"In other words, these 100 fighter jets are a gift from U.S. taxpayers to the Israeli air force."- See the post Israel and the U.S. on this page

"The Israel Air Force has significantly upgraded the level of its cooperation with the United States Air Force and now receives regular updates on American procurement decisions, The Jerusalem Post has learned. ... We are interested in many of the same platforms and systems, and the Americans look at us as a small-scale laboratory of themselves," a high-ranking IAF officer told the Post. "Now every time the USAF signs a contract and purchases something new, they will update us." - IAF, USAF greatly upgrade cooperation By YAAKOV KATZ, The Jerusalem Post

"The Hebrew daily Maariv is reporting that Israel is preparing to attack Iran's nuclear weapons sites in cooperation with the United States. The paper reports that the Israel Air Force has been training on long-range flights, including refueling in mid-flight. The training has apparently been going on for some time, but it was only released for publication today." - Israel preparing to strike Iran, Maariv, June 22, 2007

Here is what the blog called "theblotter" at abcnews.com was willing to report about the U.S. support of terrorists based in the Baluchistan province in Pakistan who attack inside Iran:

"A Pakistani tribal militant group [ABC doesn't use the word terrorist, is this because the U.S. is supporting them?] responsible for a series of deadly guerrilla raids inside Iran has been secretly encouraged and advised by American officials since 2005, U.S. and Pakistani intelligence sources tell ABC News.

The group, called Jundullah, is made up of members of the Baluchi tribe and operates out of the Baluchistan province in Pakistan, just across the border from Iran.

It has taken responsibility for the deaths and kidnappings of more than a dozen Iranian soldiers and officials.

U.S. officials say the U.S. relationship with Jundullah is arranged so that the U.S. provides no funding to the group, which would require an official presidential order or "finding" as well as congressional oversight." - ABC News Exclusive: The Secret War Against Iran April 03, 2007 Brian Ross and Christopher Isham Report

The Main Motive for the 911 attacks was clearly to garnish public support for a war of empire building, regime change and resource theft, and was, to use a popular term, an inside job.

Anyone who would deny the validity of an evergrowing plethora of evidence and experts/former military which support the controlled demolition/inside job theory is either catatonic or involved somehow?

When a person dies, their genetic code together with their memory, is automatically recorded. If we Technically can clone a human being then why not someone else. The old saying everything you say will be taken down in evidence etc, takes on awhole new meaning.Whoever perpetrated acts against humanity will literally at some future date have to account for themselves. You may scoff but this is about extremely scientifically advanced science ES extra solar sytem technology. You will remember these words when the time comes. There is no escape for anyone on this planet

If we "hit" Iran it will be China that "hits" us back. Probably by dumping their reserves of dollars and getting Venezuala to do the same which would cause the US real internal economic problems. If the economic strike doesn't reign in blushit then worse may follow.

Instead of a serious effort to conserve resources and reduce our energy usage, we start illegal wars, and the oil companies and defense contractors make obscene profits.

I can only wonder how far alternative energy would have come if Reagan hadn't idiotically removed the solar panels from the White House and had continued to support R&D, undoing all of Carters work in this area.

I suspect living through the resource wars is going to get really really ugly. How long before China and Russia get tired of us acting like bullies?

Buy gold, silver, copper and other commodities - it will be the only hedge against the demise of the US dollar once the bombs start falling, and they will fall soon... Bush needs war to get the 'sheep' to rally behind him...

Complain, complain, complain -- that's all you people do. Why can't you people show a little compassion for our kind and gentle, warm hearted president and vice president? So, they made a slight error in judgment when they accidently went to war with Iraq -- sheesh, haven't you all made little mistakes? So, they accidently went to war in the wrong country -- gee, lets all beat up on them. They were off by only a few hundred miles and besides, Saudi Arabia is a good friend some of the time. So, a few hundred thousand people die or are maimed for life -- small price for cheap gas, isn't it? Would you rather ride bicycles? So quit the complaining and lets all cheer for the man leading our country -- Dick Cheney! In fact, lets all pray for Dick and George. I certainly prayed for george during his recent brain scan... --jws

War with Iran will be no "accident," although it will be sold as one by the mainstream mafia.

Besides, war against Iran is already no accident, as the CIA, the ISI, et al., are supporting and training terrorist/militant groups in N. Iraq, N. Iran, and Pakistan, who are, in turn, conducting terrorist attacks inside Iran and Iraq.

And I concur with the wacko 6:41 Anonymous commenter; 911 was an inside-out job. PNAC zioneonazis wanted a catastrophic event, so they allowed the attack to happen, and the Mossad made sure it did.

As far as controlled demolition:

All three buildings collapsing in on themselves like Coke cans stomped on suggests to me that it wasn't a localized structural fire that caused it. [Granted, it doesn't take the melting of steel for a collapse of some sort; it simply takes a weakening. And that fact is exactly what the planners are relying on gullible people to put forth as a counter to the more plausible theory that there was a controlled demolition.]

On a related note:

Israel will cease to exist; it will collapse on itself much like the three WTC towers did. An Israeli implosion is inevitable. That is, unless they decide to stop the BS genocide-and-land-theft-disguised-as-security routine and level with the rest of us humans. Fat chance. Israel is doomed. Get out while you can, peace-loving Israelis et al!

3:42, like I said either catatonic or involved somehow, which category do you fit into dumbass? Judging by your vile language, personal attack and lack of intelligent comeback I might hesitate a guess that you are a J as that is the J trademark response, and also that of someone caught with their fingers in the till?

Anonymous, your link didn't work and its formating ruined the layout of this page so I deleted it. If you want to repost the link properly you can.

your comment about Chomsky was ridiculous by the way. And your argument that warning others that the Bush Administration and others are trying to push us into a war with Iran is not "pushing us closer" to a war. What a contrived argument you make.

"Detain This" I am a trite confused, you "concur" with what I say, but refer to me as a "whacko"

Mate, if being a whacko means having the intelligence to use your own eyes, ears, and what you have learned throughout life to render childishly transparent propaganda innefective, then I am happy to be referred to as a whacko. As would be 100% of the FDNY & NYPD and thousands of rescue workers that experienced, and have spoken on the record of the explosions and controlled demolitions of WTC 1,2,&7.

There are now over 1200 eminent professors, engineers, demolition experts, high ranking military professionals along with pilots, eyewitness's and survivors from WTC 1 & 2 who have put together a body of evidence that in itself is so indisputable and damming that it will crucify those responsible for the murder of 3000 people in the name of profit and empire.

Ultimate truth and justice will only be achieved if Bush,Cheney etc are impeached before the Iran attack, as prior to that attack you will see another 911 incident occur (blamed on Iran) following which martial law will be declared and anyone not wearing a "I Love Dubya" t-shirt and matching cap will be thrown into detention camps ad infinitum, ala Gitmo.

Eyes Wide Open,

It was a facetious comment not to be taken literally: a poke at the other fella who berated you with worse language.

You wrote: "Mate, if being a whacko means having the intelligence to use your own eyes, ears, and what you have learned throughout life to render childishly transparent propaganda innefective, then I am happy to be referred to as a whacko."

Hear hear. My point exactly.

Thank god for people like Noam Chomsky who have the balls to expose all the corruption in the US government. People should read his work before jumping to conclusions.
