War Propaganda Tricking People

President Bush Pushes War Propaganda Tricking People Into Supporting An Attack On Iran

President Bush illegally attacked Iraq and his actions have put the United States at greater risk of terrorism. Please see this link and the links in the post:
The Bush Administration is committing fraud again in order to sell another war to the American people. In particular take note of the link that shows that Bush was not telling the truth when he made claims that the intelligence was saying Saddam has weapons of mass destruction and his lie about Saddam and al-Qaeda. "On the issue of the Saddam regime's relations with terrorist groups, the intelligence community, in the assessments it produced on that subject, never judged that there was anything close to an alliance with al-Qaeda."

Also note, as unthinkable as it may be, that Bush does not even know or he is lying about the very reason he attacked Iraq: Bush thinks Saddam didn't let the inspectors in and that is why we attacked him! He has said it at least 3 times now and the media keeps letting him get away with it!

And now we have to worry this lunatic is going to attack Iran or will give a wink to Israel to attack Iran. In a recent article, Jonathan Cook, points out that Bush is telling a falsehood which serves a propaganda effort to push another war agenda, it is a lie which is told to sell the public on the outrageous idea of attacking Iran:
"What is the basis for Israel’s dire forecasts -- the ideological scaffolding being erected, presumably, to justify an attack on Iran? Helpfully, as George Bush defended his Iraq policies last month, he reminded us yet again of the menace Iran supposedly poses: it is “threatening to wipe Israel off the map”.

This myth has been endlessly recycled since a translating error was made of a speech Ahmadinejad delivered nearly two years ago. Farsi experts have verified that the Iranian president, far from threatening to destroy Israel, was quoting from an earlier speech by the late Ayatollah Khomeini in which he reassured supporters of the Palestinians that “the Zionist regime in Jerusalem” would “vanish from the page of time”.

He was not threatening to exterminate Jews or even Israel. He was comparing Israel’s occupation of the Palestinians with other illegitimate systems of rule whose time had passed, including the Shahs who once ruled Iran, apartheid South Africa and the Soviet empire. Nonetheless, this erroneous translation has survived and prospered because Israel and her supporters have exploited it for their own crude propaganda purposes." - Israel’s Jewish problem in Tehran - So why hasn’t Iran started by wiping its own Jews off the map? by Jonathan Cook

Bush is obviously trying to justify starting yet another war(for the public or even in his own mind, perhaps truth means nothing to him) . See this link: Bush is Ignorant and Extremely Dangerous (either way, either he knows he is telling falsehoods or he is ignorant, either way, the man is not fit to be commander in chief and he must be immediately stripped of the powers he has abused.) He must be stopped, we must demand that our representatives impeach him and remove him from office immediately. This is too dangerous a situation to allow to continue:

The Reckless and Dangerous Barack Obama
Obama: I would invade Pakistan over terror

“There are terrorists holed up in those mountains who murdered 3,000 Americans. They are plotting to strike again . . . If we have actionable intelligence about high-value terrorist targets and President Musharraf won’t act, we will.”

This is the same game Bush plays trying to exploit the emotions of Americans. And it isn't true that "there are terrorists holed up in those mountains who murdered 3,000 Americans." The fact is the 19 men who carried out the 9/11 attacks are dead and that includes the ring leader who piloted the first plane to crash into the WTC. Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, the mastermind of 9/11, has been apprehended. Other than Osama bin Laden, there really aren't terrorists who were actually responsible for the 9/11 attacks. Certainly no need to invade a nuclear country in order to do what police can do and have done. Osama bin Laden is still lose but he can be apprehened through good police work, the way we got Khalid Shaikh Mohammed. The U.S. didn't use war, a war crime wasn't committed, in order to get Khalid Shaikh Mohammed. in order to get Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, the mastermind of 9/11 so why this reckless talk from Obama? We certainly are not going to allow our politicians to violate international law and commit another war crime trying to get people simply belonging to "Islamic groups sympathetic to the Taleban or Osama bin Laden" as the article points out. Stop the policies which are wrong and support for terrorism against the U.S. will stop, you won't have Islamic groups motivated to attack. Obama's threat is as reckless or more reckless than Bush!

No way in hell should Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama be president.

Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich are the only two in the U.S. House of Representatives who voted against the horrible war propaganda resolution, H CON RES 21.

Stop the 'War President' before he starts WWIII.

PELLEY: What would you say right now in this interview to the Iranian president about the meddling in Iraq?

BUSH: I'd say, first of all, to him, "You've made terrible choices for your people. You've isolated your nation. You've taken a nation of proud and honorable people, and you've made your country the pariah of the world. You've threatened countries with nuclear weapons. You've said you want a nuclear weapon.

Ahmadinejad was talking about a political change, he has made that clear: "As the Soviet Union disappeared, the Zionist regime will also vanish"
He is talking about a regime change towards democracy, he is not talking about bombing. The example of the Soviet Union makes clear what he has been saying all along.

The media is manipulating you

Ahmadinejad wrote in his letter to Bush, "are we to understand that allowing the original inhabitants of these lands - inside and outside Palestine - whether they are Christian, Muslim or Jew, to determine their fate, runs contrary to principles of democracy, human rights and the teachings of prophets?" THE MEDIA DIDN'T REPORT THAT PART OF HIS LETTER!

U.S. Support for Israel is an Enormous Threat to World Peace.

U.S. Support for Israel is an Enormous Threat to World Peace.
"Another contributing factor to this extremely dangerous amalgam is U.S. support for Israel's continued rejection of a long-standing international consensus on a political settlement for the Israel-Palestine issue, and its ongoing actions to undermine any possibility that a political settlement can be reached. Always crucially with decisive U.S. support, otherwise those actions are impossible for. For 30 years now, the U.S. has been unilaterally, and that's worth stressing, unilaterally blocking the possibility of a political settlement and providing the decisive diplomatic, economic and military means that permit the actions that step by step make any such settlement impossible. That's dramatically true right now. It's all consistently suppressed in the doctrinal system, and now of course, it's to be - if even mentioned, eliminated from history by the usual means, the convenient doctrine of change of course. Well, this has been decisive for 30 years, and it's going on, and we should pay attention to it if we care about the future." - from Noam Chomsky's speech "After the War," delivered to a packed theater at Columbia University 11/03

Chomsky

Our security is being put at even greater risk by the Bush Administration's continuing threats against Iran.
Bush and Cheney's Threats and Actions Risk Accidental War with Iran.

"They're certainly issuing threats very publicly and openly. Not only the words but even the actions. So, for example, the last couple of years, the United States has provided to Israel over a hundred advanced jet bombers openly advertised as capable of bombing Iran and returning. I don't think a word about that has been published in the United States but it's public information. You can read it in the Israeli press, you can read it in military journals. Certainly Iranian intelligence knows it.

Furthermore, deploying major naval forces in the Gulf, right off shore from Iran, is an obvious threat. I mean, if Iran was deploying major naval forces in the English Channel or the Caribbean, you can bet that the United States and London would be pretty upset about it. In fact, they'd go to war.

Capturing Iranian officials in northern Iraq, that's provocation. The United States is almost certainly - we, you know, can't prove it but the evidence is pretty strong - is supporting secessionist groups - terrorist groups in fact, in Iran. Recently, there was an attack from Baluchi based, Pakistani based terrorists, other groups are being supported. You know, all that is very provocative. That's all over and above the overt threat. The overt threats to Iran are a crime. They're a major violation of the United Nations Charter which outlaws the threat or use of force in international affairs. Threat of force is a violation of the Charter, it's a violation of law. In outlaw states, like the United States and Britain where law doesn't matter much, there's very little comment on that. But definitely the threats are there and all of this could lead to just an accidental war." - Noam Chomsky NOTE: This is an edited version of what Chomsky said excerpted from a video recorded 6/5/07. See this link for the aprox. 10 min. long video source: Noam Chomsky - Q&A @ Sussex University (2a)

Below are some examples of background info:

"Experts say the ultra-sophisticated development of the battle-tested F16 Fighting Falcon, to be named Sufa (Storm in Hebrew), sports a much-increased range of 1,500 kilometres (around 930 miles) without needing in-flight refuelling, allowing them to reach anywhere in the Middle East.

Media reports said this new capability could allow the Israeli Air Force (IAF) to hit suspected nuclear targets in Iran, as it did in Iraq in June 1981 when it bombed the Osirak reactor near Baghdad.

Built by US aerospace giant Lockheed Martin

The procurement of 102 of the two-seater jets at an estimated cost of 4.5 billion dollars is the biggest defense deal in Israel's history.

For its part, Lockheed Martin is committed to 2.6 billion dollars worth of reciprocal procurements, of which 1.1 billion has already been made.

Funding for the contract comes from US military aid to Israel which totals around two billion dollars per year.

Israel placed its first order for 50 aircraft in 1999, with a second order made in 2001. Delivery is slated for completion by 2009.

With the 102 new Sufa jets, and another 230 Fighting Falcons, Israel will command the second largest F-16 fleet in the world behind the United States." - Israel receives two new-generation F-16I fighter jets RAMON AIR BASE, Israel (AFP) Feb 19, 2004

"In other words, these 100 fighter jets are a gift from U.S. taxpayers to the Israeli air force."- See the post Israel and the U.S. on this page

"The Israel Air Force has significantly upgraded the level of its cooperation with the United States Air Force and now receives regular updates on American procurement decisions, The Jerusalem Post has learned. ... We are interested in many of the same platforms and systems, and the Americans look at us as a small-scale laboratory of themselves," a high-ranking IAF officer told the Post. "Now every time the USAF signs a contract and purchases something new, they will update us." - IAF, USAF greatly upgrade cooperation By YAAKOV KATZ, The Jerusalem Post

"The Hebrew daily Maariv is reporting that Israel is preparing to attack Iran's nuclear weapons sites in cooperation with the United States. The paper reports that the Israel Air Force has been training on long-range flights, including refueling in mid-flight. The training has apparently been going on for some time, but it was only released for publication today." - Israel preparing to strike Iran, Maariv, June 22, 2007

Here is what the blog called "theblotter" at abcnews.com was willing to report about the U.S. support of terrorists based in the Baluchistan province in Pakistan who attack inside Iran:

"A Pakistani tribal militant group [ABC doesn't use the word terrorist, is this because the U.S. is supporting them?] responsible for a series of deadly guerrilla raids inside Iran has been secretly encouraged and advised by American officials since 2005, U.S. and Pakistani intelligence sources tell ABC News.

The group, called Jundullah, is made up of members of the Baluchi tribe and operates out of the Baluchistan province in Pakistan, just across the border from Iran.

It has taken responsibility for the deaths and kidnappings of more than a dozen Iranian soldiers and officials.

U.S. officials say the U.S. relationship with Jundullah is arranged so that the U.S. provides no funding to the group, which would require an official presidential order or "finding" as well as congressional oversight." - ABC News Exclusive: The Secret War Against Iran April 03, 2007 Brian Ross and Christopher Isham Report

warning

"The results of an attack on Iran could be horrendous. After all, according to a recent study of "the Iraq effect" by terrorism specialists Peter Bergen and Paul Cruickshank, using government and Rand Corporation data, the Iraq invasion has already led to a seven-fold increase in terror. The "Iran effect" would probably be far more severe and long-lasting. Israel Violates UN Security Council by Occupying Syrian Golan Heights
Israel has been flatly refusing any negotiations.

NOAM CHOMSKY: Israel is in control of, in fact, has annexed - in violation of Security Council orders - has annexed a large part of Syrian territory, the Golan Heights. Syria is making it very clear that they are interested in a peace settlement with Israel, which would involve, as it should, the withdrawal of Israeli troops from occupied territories.

AMY GOODMAN: Are there secret negotiations going on between Israel and Syria now?

NOAM CHOMSKY: You never know what's going on in secret, but so far Israel has been flatly refusing any negotiations. In fact, the only debate that's going on now is whether it's the United States that's pressuring Israel or Israel's pressuring the United States to prevent negotiations on the Golan Heights and, in fact, on the Occupied Territories altogether.

I mean, this is called a very contentious issue, Israel-Palestine, which is kind of surprising. It's a contentious issue only in the United States, and even not among the American population. It's a contentious issue because the US government and the Israeli government are blocking a very broad international consensus, which has almost universal support, even the majority of Americans, and which has been on the table for about thirty years, blocked by the US and Israel.

Israel Chooses Expansion and Oppression over Security
"Well, I've felt for many years, and have written incidentally, that the people who call themselves supporters of Israel are in reality supporters of Israel's moral degeneration and probably ultimate destruction. I mean, Israel can have security. In fact, that's been true for over 30 years. It has chosen instead expansion at the cost of security.

I agree with my Israeli friends who think that the policies they are taking are extremely self-des - first of all WRONG but also self-destructive and that if they do pursue security and peace instead of expansion and oppression their prospects are very much improved." - Noam Chomsky

Khalid Shaikh Mohammed Transcript Excerpts

Khalid Shaikh Mohammed 3/10/07 Defense Department Transcript Excerpts

"For sure, I'm American enemies. Usama bin Laden, he did his best press conference in American media. Mr. John Miller he been there when he made declaration against Jihad, against America. And he said it is not no need for me now to make explanation of what he said but mostly he said about American military presence in Arabian peninsula and aiding Israel and many things. ...

As consider George Washington as hero. Muslims many of them are considering Usama bin Laden. He is doing same thing. He is just fighting. He needs his independence. Even we think that, or not me only. Many Muslims, that al Qaida or Taliban they are doing. They have been oppressed by America. ...

If you and me, two nations, will be together in war the others are victims. This is the way of the language. You know 40 million people were killed in World War One. Ten million kill in World War. You know that two million four hundred thousand be killed in the Korean War. So this language of the war. Any people who, when Usama bin Laden say I'm waging war because such such reason, now he declared it. But when you said I'm terrorist, I think it is deceiving peoples. ...

Because war, for sure, there will be victims. When I said I'm not happy that 3,000 been killed in America. I feel sorry even. I don't like to kill children and the kids. Never Islam are, give me green light to kill peoples. Killing, as in the Christianity, Jews, and Islam, are prohibited. But there are exception of rule when you are killing people in Iraq. You said we have to do it. We don't like Saddam. But this is the way to deal with Saddam. Same thing you are saying. Same language you use, I use. ...

I mean the language of the war is victims. I don't like to kill people. I feel very sorry they been killed kids in 9/11. What I will do? This is the language. Sometime I want to make great awakening between American to stop foreign policy in our land.

I know American people are torturing us from seventies. [REDACTED] I know they talking about human rights. And I know it is against American Constitution, against American laws. But they said every law, they have exceptions, this is your bad luck you been part of the exception of our laws. ...

Killing is prohibited in all what you call the people of the book, Jews, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. You know the Ten Commandments very well. The Tell Commandments are shared between all of us. We all are serving one God. Then now kill you know it very well. But war language also we have language for the war. You have to kill. But you have to care if unintentionally or intentionally target if I have if I'm not at the Pentagon. I consider it is okay. If I target now when we target in USA we choose them military target, economical, and political. So, war central victims mostly means economical target. ...

War start from Adam when Cain he killed Abel until now. It's never gonna stop killing of people. This is the way of the language. American start the Revolutionary War then they starts the Mexican then Spanish War then World War One, World War Two. You read the history. You know never stopping war. This is life. But if who is enemy combatant and who is not? Finally, I finish statement. I'm asking you to be fair with other people."

Michael Moore played the same game the 9/11 Commissioners admit they played.

Michael Moore played the same game the 9/11 Commissioners admit they played.

Michael Moore played the same game the 9/11 Commissioners admit they played. "In their view, listing U.S. support for Israel as a root cause of al Qaeda's opposition to the United States indicated that the United States should reassess that policy." (this is a quote from the book "Without Precedent" by 9/11 Commissioners Thomas H. Kean and Lee H. Hamilton) Both Michael Moore, with his movie "Fahrenheit 911" and the 9/11 Commissioners with their "9/11 Rerport" misdirected many Americans away from the undeniable motive which Philip D. Zelikow, the Executive Director of the 9/11 Commission, mentioned in his Staff Statement before the 9/11 Commission: "the al Qaeda leader wanted to punish the United States for supporting Israel."
It is depraved to deny the main motive for the 9/11 attacks.
Michael Moore, the MSM and others, for example an editor at crooksandliars.com, keep censoring mention of the main motive. Yes, Philip D. Zelikow said the above quote to the 9/11 Commission BUT if you look at what made it into the 9/11 Report, they paraphrase the sentences before and after the above sentence YET they skip mention of his sentence about the al Qaeda leader wanting to punish the United States for supporting Israel! And MICHAEL MOORE plays the same game making his seriously flawed movie "Fahrenheit 911."

Had more people been honest about the 9/11 motives and if people pointed out that Bush lied to the American people about why we were attacked on 9/11, I think it would have been harder for the Bush Administration to sell the Iraq War.

    Permanent War Economy

    Permanent War Economy
    "Government Must Be The Savior"

"The term "permanent war economy" is attributed to Charles Wilson, CEO of GE, who warned at the end of World War II that the US must not return to a civilian economy, but must keep to a "permanent war economy" of the kind that was so successful during the war: a semi-command economy, run mostly by corporate executives, geared to military production. Among other very important contributions, Melman has written extensively on the harmful effects of gearing much of the economy to military production rather than to civilian needs.

What he describes is correct and important, but there are other dimensions to be considered. After World War II, most economists and business leaders expected that the economy would sink back to depression without massive government intervention of the kind that, during the war years, finally overcame the Great Depression. The New Deal had softened the edges, but not much more. Business understood that social spending could overcome market catastrophes as well as military spending, but social spending has a downside: it has a democratizing and redistributive effect while military spending is a gift to the corporate manager, a steady cushion. And the public is not involved. People care about hospitals and schools, but if you can "scare the hell out of them," as Senator Vandenberg recommended, they will huddle under the umbrella of power and trust their leaders when it comes to jet planes, missiles, tanks, etc. Furthermore, business was well aware that high-tech industry could not survive in a competitive free enterprise economy, and "government must be the savior," as the business press explained. Such considerations converged on the decision to focus on military rather than social spending. And it should be borne in mind that "military spending" does not mean just military spending. A great deal of it is high-tech R&D. Virtually the entire "new economy" has relied heavily on the military cover to socialize risk and cost and privatize profit, often after many decades: computers and electronics generally, telecommunications and the Internet, satellites, the aeronautical industry (hence tourism, the largest "service industry"), containerization (hence contemporary trade), computer-controlled machine tools, and a great deal more. Alan Greenspan and others like to orate about how all of this is a tribute to the grand entrepreneurial spirit and consumer choice in free markets. That's true of the late marketing stage, but far less so in the more significant R&D stage. Much the same is true in the biology-based sectors of industry, though different pretexts are used. The record goes far back, but these mechanisms to sustain the advanced industrial economy became far more significant after World War II.

In brief, the permanent war economy has an economic as well as a purely military function. And both outcomes -- incomparable military force and an advanced industrial economy -- naturally provide crucial mechanisms for foreign policy planning, much of it geared to ensuring free access to markets and resources for the state-supported corporate sector, constraining rivals, and barring moves towards independent development." - "The Savage Extreme of a Narrow Policy Spectrum" Five Questions with Noam Chomsky By MERLIN CHOWKWANYUN

    We have State-Capitalism NOT Capitalism

"The word to use remains "security," not "subsidy," as Air Force Secretary Stuart Symington advised in the early days of the Cold War, when government was being mobilized as the "savior" of private power, which could not survive in a competitive economy, as the business press frankly acknowledged.

    Chavez, Venezuela, TV

Yes Fox is very bad but the rest of MSM is very bad too. The truth about the TV station not having the licence renewed has been misreported across MSM, not just on FOX.

"RCTV and other commercial TV stations were key players in the April 2002 coup that briefly ousted Chavez's democratically elected government. During the short-lived insurrection, coup leaders took to commercial TV airwaves to thank the networks. "I must thank Venevisión and RCTV," one grateful leader remarked in an appearance captured in the Irish film The Revolution Will Not Be Televised. The film documents the networks’ participation in the short-lived coup, in which stations put themselves to service as bulletin boards for the coup—hosting coup leaders, silencing government voices and rallying the opposition to a march on the Presidential Palace that was part of the coup plotters strategy" - Coup Co-Conspirators as Free-Speech Martyrs, Distorting the Venezuelan media story

Jones has some sort of problem.

"Though I have to say I wanted to piggyback what thinkpad15 talked about regarding the tests done," writes mconn2112.

I looked through the comments and I see that thinkpad15 relies on Steven Jones. I have researched the claims the "9/11 Truth movement" makes and they are simply wrong.

Prof. Jones is one of the main culprits, if not the main culprit, spreading the falsehoods and ignorance. His 9/11 paper shows that the man has a problem reasoning or, because it is so extreme, it looks like he is deliberately deceiving people. With regard to the NIST report, it appears that he simply doesn't understand what he is reading or that he has some sort of problem. Either way, he has demonstrated that he is embarrassingly not fit to publish scientific papers on this topic. I explain it at this link:

Prof. Steven E. Jones and his 911 paper

There is no way around it, what he doesn't understand (and there is no good reason for not understanding it) is CENTRAL to why the buildings collapsed and it is backed up by evidence that he is ignoring either deliberately or out of incompetence. The man demonstrates clearly that he should not be writing a paper like this or be involved in any academic endeavors because if he can't understand what NIST is saying in their report, he has no right trying to write scientific papers. I don't know what the defect is with his mind but there is a problem of some sort, given the evidence he indicates he doesn't understand. It really is disgusting that his ignorance or deception has gone this far. Please read what I wrote at the link, I think it is cut and dry.

US Backed Israeli Abuse of Palestinians Motivated Bin Laden

US Backed Israeli Abuse of Palestinians Motivated Bin Laden "Very early in his career and very consistently, bin Laden has been outspoken in support of the Palestinians and of course condemning the Israelis, so it's an issue that clearly weighs heavily on his mind and is motivating." - Michael Scheuer former CIA Bin Laden Unit Chief interviewed by Scott Horton on Antiwar Radio Listen to the full interview: Antiwar Radio: Scott Horton Interviews Michael Scheuer

Osama bin Laden Has Been Angry About U.S. Support of Israel for Decades

The New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman has spread the lie that "bin Laden never focused on this issue. He only started talking about "Palestine" after September 11." Friedman put that lie in his best selling book "Longitudes & Attitudes." Friedman claims, "the fact is that bin Laden never focused on this issue. He only started talking about "Palestine" after September 11, when he sensed that he might be losing the support of the Arab street. " (p311 of Longitudes & Attitudes ) and " Osama bin Laden never mentioned the Palestinian cause as motivating his actions until he felt he was losing support in the Arab world. " (p361-362 of Longitudes & Attitudes ) What Friedman has written is a flat out lie. To give just one example that disproves what Friedman wrote: "Your position against Muslims in Palestine is despicable and disgraceful. America has no shame. " - Osama bin Laden May 1998

This canard has been spread by the mainstream media.

Peter Bergen points out that lies have been pushed: "conventional wisdom has it that bin Laden adopted the Palestinians issue only recently. Reading this declaration [the first declaration of war, issued in 1996] SHOULD PUT THAT CANARD TO REST." p164 The Bin Laden I Know, Peter Bergen

A chutzpah award goes to CNN's Anderson Cooper for pushing that canard even after reading Bergen's book. Anderson Cooper's pro-Israel bias is so extreme that even after reading Bergen's book, he still insisted on pushing the same canard. Cooper was actually interviewing Peter Bergen and says to him: "It -- it's interesting, also, to hear them reference Palestinians. As -- as I read in your book "The Osama Bin Laden I Know: The Oral History of Osama bin Laden," I mean, bin Laden wasn't talking about Palestinians from the get-go."

Bergen looked uncomfortable in having to explain to Cooper, "Well, he -- he has always been interested in the Palestinian issue."

Pundits and politicians are deceiving the American people about these foreign policies. Thomas Friedman also LIES when he wrote that terrorists "have no specific ideological program or demands. Rather, they are driven by a generalized hatred of the U.S., Israel and other supposed enemies of Islam." He is a liar, it is not "generalized hatred" it is specific things! It is beyond the pale to feed the public lies about life and death issues. Friedman wrote that in 1998, after years of crystal clear messages from the 1993 letter to the NYT to the 1998 Fatwa which lists 3 specific policies, U.S. occupation of the Arabian Peninsula., U.S. aggression against the Iraqi people, U.S. support of Israel.

Against all Enemies - Richard A. Clarke
In chapter 2, titled "Stumbling into the Islamic World," Clarke writes "to understand why that movement has chosen America as its target and why America failed to see the effects of its actions, we need to remind ourselves of some of the events of the last twenty-five years." Clarke gives the example of Ronald Reagan, "inserting U.S. military influence" into the Middle East. Reagan's foreign policies "created new equations," says Clarke, "by confronting Moscow in Afghanistan, inserting the U.S. military in the Persian Gulf, and by strengthening Israel as a base for a southern flank against the Soviets."

SCANDAL: 9/11 Commissioners Bowed to Pressure to Suppress Main Motive for the 9/11 Attacks.

    Bin Laden’s Claims Are Straightforward

    "Bin Laden’s claims are straightforward.
    • The U.S. defiles Islam with military bases on holy land in Saudi Arabia,
    • its initiation of war against Iraq, with 12 years of persistent bombing,
    • and its dollars and weapons being used against the Palestinians as the Palestinian territory shrinks and Israel’s occupation expands.
There will be no peace in the world for the next 50 years or longer if we refuse to believe why those who are attacking us do it.

To dismiss terrorism as the result of Muslims hating us because we’re rich and free is one of the greatest foreign-policy frauds ever perpetrated on the American people. Because the propaganda machine, the media, and the government have restated this so many times, the majority now accept it at face value. And the administration gets the political cover it needs to pursue a “holy” war for democracy against the infidels who hate us for our goodness."

    Unqualified Support for Israel

    convert or die?

"When did Zawahiri or Bin Laden say their policy was “convert or die?”"

Exactly loonz, they haven't said this. Those that claim "it is has nothing to do with our foreign policy" and claim that they insist we "convert or die" must resort to lies and fabrication to backup their claim. For example, the ABC miniseries "The Path to 9-11" fabricated a fatwa quote about "until America converts to Islam" in order to push the lie that the al-Qeada insists we "convert or die." And here is the kicker, NO ONE in mainstream media (I haven't seen a single pundit or reporter) told the American people that "The Path to 9-11" fabricated a fatwa quote about "until America converts to Islam." That includes Media Matters which did do stories on "The Path to 9-11" but did not point out this fabrication.

Giuliani is totally wrong and unbelievably ignorant

It should be pointed out that Giuliani is totally wrong and unbelievably ignorant and these clowns act like he knows what he is talking about! Giuliani doesn't know that US crimes against Iraq was indeed one of the grievances spelled out in bin Laden's declaration of war? Giuliani is really THAT ignorant? To say he "owns 9/11" when he is so off the wall ignorant is amazing. All of the reporters and pundits in mainstream media have showed their colors once again. Giuliani is a devious liar when he claims that foreign policies are not what motivates the terrorists. Giuliani has again proven he is NOT qualified to be president. The MSM has proven they are NOT qualified to present the news.

The media is not publicizing Ron Paul's press release: "It is clear from his interruption that former Mayor Giuliani has not read the 9-11 Commission Report and has no clue on how to keep America safe." Guiliani "never heard" that anger at what the US was doing to Iraq was one of the motives?!?! And the mainstream media acts like he is a superstar!?!

The 1998 fatwa specifically lists Iraq as the second grievance: "Second, despite the great devastation inflicted on the Iraqi people by the crusader-Zionist alliance, and despite the huge number of those killed, which has exceeded 1 million... despite all this, the Americans are once against trying to repeat the horrific massacres, as though they are not content with the protracted blockade imposed after the ferocious war or the fragmentation and devastation. So here they come to annihilate what is left of this people and to humiliate their Muslim neighbors "

Ron Paul is Right! Vote for Rep. Ron Paul in the Primary
"Non-intervention was a major contributing factor. Have you ever read about the reasons they attacked us? They attack us because we've been over there. We've been bombing Iraq for 10 years. We've been in the Middle East. I think Reagan was right. We don't understand the irrationality of Middle Eastern politics. Right now, we're building an embassy in Iraq that is bigger than the Vatican. So, right now, we're building 14 permanent bases. What would we say here if China was doing this in our country or in the Gulf of Mexico? We would be objecting. We need to look at what we do from the perspective of what would happen if somebody did it to us.

I believe very sincerely that the CIA is correct when they teach and talk about blowback. When we went into Iran in 1953 and installed the shah, yes, there was blowback. A reaction to that was the taking of our hostages and that persists. And if we ignore that, we ignore that at our own risk. If we think that we can do what we want around the world and not incite hatred, then we have a problem.

They don't come here to attack us because we're rich and we're free. They come and they attack us because we're over there. I mean, what would we think if we were -- if other foreign countries were doing that to us?" - Congressman Ron Paul of Texas

"I think we have misled ourselves and misled the American people" - Rep. William Delahunt

"The politicians really are at great fault for not squaring with the American people. We're being attacked for what we do in the Islamic world, not for who we are or what we believe in or how we live. And there's a huge burden of guilt to be laid at Mr. Bush, Mr. Clinton, both parties for simply lying to the American people." - Michael Scheuer, Former CIA Bin Laden Unit Chief

I think the lying plays a role in why so many people buy into the 9/11 conspiracy crap. I think people who are reluctant to state clearly that the 9/11 attacks were "in response for the American political, economical, and military support to Israel the state of terrorism and to the rest of the dictator countries in the region." to quote the terrorists' letter from 1993 which spelled out the same motives.

Those who talk about 9/11 but artificially omit mention of the very motive for the crime are doing a disservice to the American people. It isn't just politicians who play this game, it is anyone who decides that the standard questions of "who, what, where, when and why and even how" should be edited to omit "why" because it is "sensitive." Griffin does indeed mock the "hatred of our freedoms" motive AS IF IT WAS THE "OFFICIAL MOTIVE!"

Omiting "why" in the standard "who, what, where, when and why and even how" is an ugly lie of omission. I think a good case can be made for how this lie of omission helps the conspiracy crap and vice versa.

The enormous injustice perpetrated in 1948 when Israel ethnically cleansed most of the indigenous population

    Missing

"It is interesting that in an 11-program series focused largely on the Middle East, no mention is made of the core issue of the region: the enormous injustice perpetrated in 1948 when Israel ethnically cleansed most of the indigenous population, and its ongoing and ruthless efforts in this direction today. While the series focuses on the activities of people who are opposing past and present dispossession, it appears that no mention is made of the oppression they are resisting. It is a little like describing the actions of someone being attacked by wolves without mentioning the wolves.

The issues in the Middle East and 9/11 have far more to do with the usual causes of war, competition over territory and resources, than with religion. Nevertheless, there are religious dimensions to the conflict, and it would certainly be valuable to explicate these. Yet PBS ignores the fact that there are three major religions centered in the Middle East, not just one, and that the major ethnic-cleansing at the region's core was done in the name of one of the two religions ignored in the series. If one of the religions is going to be examined, with much of the focus on its alleged warts, it seems to me that the other two should be exposed to equal scrutiny. Why was this not done?

Fundamentalist Jewish settlers are among the most fanatic and violent populations in the Middle East, and they proclaim that their violence is endorsed, even required, by their religion. Growing numbers of Christians endorse and fund this violent dispossession of the world's original Christians and others, and also claim to base their activities on their religion. Similarly, violent Jewish and Christian extremists operate in the United States, some cells defined, even by the US government, as "terrorist." While at least six out of PBS's eleven programs focus on Muslims and their connections to violence, not a single program focuses on Jewish extremists who torture farmers, attack children regularly, and whose core beliefs include the proposition that a non-Jew is "not worth the fingernail of a Jew." Similarly, there is not a single program examining American Christians who advocate violence at home and abroad, and who eagerly anticipate mass slaughter, in the name, they say, of their religion." - written by Alison Weir. Why They Knew WTC 7 Would Collapse and Why They Pulled The Firemen Back:

Why They Knew WTC 7 Would Collapse and Why They Pulled The Firemen Back:

"The major concern at that time at that particular location was number Seven, building number seven, which had taken a big hit from the north tower. When it fell, it ripped steel out from between the third and sixth floors across the facade on Vesey Street. We were concerned that the fires on several floors and the missing steel would result in the building collapsing.

So for the next five or six hours we kept firefighters from working anywhere near that building, which included the whole north side of the World Trade Center complex. Eventually around 5:00 or a little after, building number seven came down." - Chief Frank Fellini

"The biggest decision we had to make on the first day was to clear the area and create a collapse zone around the severely damaged 7 World Trade Center, a 47-story building heavily involved in fire. A number of fire officers and companies assessed the damage to the building. The appraisals indicated that the building's integrity was in serious doubt. I issued the orders to pull back the firefighters and define the collapse zone. It was a critical decision; we could not lose any more firefighters. It took a lot of time to pull everyone out, given the emotionalism of the day, communications difficulties, and the collapse terrain." - Fire Chief Daniel Nigro "Report from the Chief of Department," Fire Engineering, 2002, VOL 155; PART 9, pages 56-59

US Mainstream Media Keeping Americans Ignorant

US Mainstream Media Keeping Americans Ignorant

There are many examples of the US media keeping facts about Israel from the American public, I list some here:

"After three weeks of virtual war in the Israeli-occupied territories, Prime Minister Ehud Barak announced a new plan to determine the final status of the region. During these weeks, over 100 Palestinians were killed, including 30 children, often by "excessive use of lethal force in circumstances in which neither the lives of the security forces nor others were in imminent danger, resulting in unlawful killings," Amnesty International concluded in a detailed report that was scarcely mentioned in the US. The ratio of Palestinian to Israeli dead was then about 15-1, reflecting the resources of force available." - Noam Chomsky, Al-Ahram Weekly, November 2-8, 2000

"Due to the time difference between Israel and New York, reports that Israel had responded to the Hezbollah raid with artillery and tank fire, and that its air force had struck roads and bridges in Lebanon, were posted on the Ha’aretz web site at 4:28 p.m. in Israel-that is, 9:28 a.m. in New York on July 12. The report from the Associated Press that Israeli war planes had hit at least 30 targets in southern Lebanon was also available in New York on July 12. Yet the Times’ editorial page not only supported Israel’s illegal military reprisals against Lebanon as “justifiable,” it misidentified a key sequence of events by reporting on July 13 that Hezbollah’s missile attacks on Israel came before Israel’s airstrikes in Lebanon." - Media Views CommonDreams: The Winograd Report v. the New York Times (5/3/07) by Howard Friel

"On August 14, the New York Times addressed one of the significant worries for U.S. media outlets covering the Israeli bombing and invasion of Lebanon: Civilians in Lebanon were the primary victims, dying in far greater numbers than Israeli military personnel and civilians combined. (Amnesty International estimated that the fighting killed about 1,000 civilians in Lebanon and about 40 in Israel—8/23/06.)

The problem for U.S. media was how to obscure that fact. As the Times put it, "Particularly vexing for many American news organizations is the struggle to determine how and in what proportion images of civilian dead and injured should be displayed in their coverage, when one side’s casualties greatly surpass the other’s." - Lives in the Balance
Media 'vexed' by civilian deaths in Lebanon
    By Peter Hart

"The next couple of days -- there was no Palestinian fire at this time -- Israel used U.S. helicopters (Israel produces no helicopters) to attack civilian complexes, killing about a dozen people and wounding several dozen.

Clinton reacted to that on October 3, 2000 by making the biggest deal in a decade -- to send Israel new military helicopters which had just been used for the purpose I described and of course would continue to be.

The U.S. press co-operated with that by refusing to publish the story. To this day, they have not published the fact." - Chomsky
