US threats against Iran

US threats against Iran

"US threats against Iran have found new dimension to the extent that US dailies are publishing stories about possibility of aggression on Iran and whether the US would use nuclear arms against Iran and the US officials do not reject such stories," writes Iranian Ambassador to United Nations Mohammad Javad Zarif in a letter to United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan

"US officials are impudently threatening Iran with use of force in blatant contravention of international law and the basic principles of United Nations Charter," Ambassador Zarif said.

"He called for immediate action by UN Security Council to stop US threats against Iran and said that failure of the body to stop US from violating the international law and United Nations Charter in the past has emboldened the US officials to say, "The option of nuclear attack on Iran is on the table."

"An economic expert and member of the Pakistan parliament on Tuesday cautioned against the possible US option of war to resolve Iran's nuclear issue, saying this would play havoc with the world economy." - Coercion to resolve Iran N-issue to destroy world economy: Pak MP
